Literaire Studentenvereniging Flanor

It’s time to look for a new board! Even though we will still rule Flanor for about 6 more months, we’re looking for a new board to take over from us. Doing a Board year is an amazing way to gain experience and skills you thought you never had. So hold tight and listen, because you’re going to love this!

My story (Iris) is a bit different than that of the other members of our Board, as I decided to apply for the board very last minute in July, but ever since my first year at Flanor (read: since last year) I wanted to do a Board year for this association. One of the major benefits is that you get to meet every author that comes to Flanor and you get to have dinner with them!

Another thing I really like about my position (Commissioner of External Affairs) is that I got to meet so many new, lovely people. Before this year, I really did not enjoy meeting new people, but I’ve grown more into it when I got to meet a lot of new people from the different associations we collaborate with. 

What’s awesome as well is that you are responsible for positive changes in the association! This year one of the things we really wanted to focus on was promotion and particularly promotion on Instagram. Before our year, Flanor’s instagram account was rarely used and now we post on average twice a week. 

So, in short, you should really do a board year. You’ll gain a lot of experience and you’ll meet a lot of incredible people!
