Literaire Studentenvereniging Flanor

Hello everyone the LustumCie hear to talk about this week’s activities. We hope to see you at one of the activities!

On the 22nd of March we have drinks at the Graanrepubliek. This is your chance to meet current and former members of Flanor and have lots of fun.

On the 23rd of March we will organize a Short Story Evening with some of Flanor’s favorite teachers. Konstantin Mierau will discuss Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut Jr, Matthijs Sanders will discuss Wétiko by Annelies Verbeke, Janet Fuller will discuss For Bo by Pam Houston and Hans Jansen will discuss The Great Sermon Handicap by P.G. Wodehouse.

Our very own Tamara will discuss Alice in Wonderland as that is the Gala’s theme.

The evening will look like this:

The walk-in of the evening with coffee and tea is from 19.00-19.30. From 19.30 the first two teachers start their discussion, this will last until approximately 20.30.

After that there is a 15 minute break. In this break part of the audio drama created by the previous LustrumCie will be played.

From 20.45-21.45 two more teachers will provide a discussion. Then follows a short break. At around 21.55 the program continues with the discussion of Alice in Wonderland, which will take half an hour. This will last until around 22.30.

The location of the Short Story evening is Stichting EdanZ, van Oldenbarneveltlaan 6 9716 EJ Groningen.

On 24th of March from 21:00 onwards, you are welcome to play games at Eetcafé d'Ouwe Brandweer! This diner can be found at Gedempte Zuiderdiep 75-77. Flanor has rented a separate room for the game night until 12 o’ clock.

Various games are already present at d'Ouwe Brandweer, from board games to card games. The Lustrumcie and the Board will also bring our own Flanor Memorie and the Story-Pass-Along game. You are nevertheless free to also bring your own games!

Everybody that signed up from the website can receive three free drinks, bitterballen and break bread. Additional snacks can be ordered at the café, of course (there are very tasty nacho’s).

We as the responsible committee would like to ask you to take your responsibility and to do a self-test before the event. This is how we keep it fun and safe for everyone. We hope to see you on March 23rd!
