"Chasing Cats? Modern Japanese Literature in The Netherlands and in Japan"

This lecture deals with the specific place that much recently translated literature from Japan occupies in the Japanese literary world. It will be revealed why animals play less of a role in modern Japanese literature than is sometimes assumed.
