Literaire Studentenvereniging Flanor

A new concept has been introduced into Flanor: Weekly Office Hours. Twice a week, Flanorians can come to the USVA building to ask questions to the board or just chat with us if they want to. In this blog post we’ll explain to you the who’s, when’s, why’s, what’s and where’s of the weekly Office Hours.

Why are we organizing these office hours? We want to lower the threshold for Flanorians to talk with the board. Flanor is an association by its members for its members, so we would really appreciate your input! This way, we hope we can make the association even more fun for all of you by listening to your wishes.

What are reasons to come to the office hours? There are a lot of reasons why you could come to our office hours. If you have an idea for the association that you would like to pitch, we would be happy to welcome you. Also, if you have a question about anything related to the association, feel free to visit us and we’ll try to help you out. Another reason could be that you just want to talk and that’s what we’re here for as well! These are just a few examples and there are a lot of other reasons you could stop by. If you want an association related chat or have a question, feel free to always stop by. 

When are these office hours, you may ask? Every week on Tuesdays from 12:00 to 14:00 and on Fridays from 12:00 to 14:00 our office is open for you. There will always be someone present to help you out if you have a question or to have a talk with. We’re planning on doing Office Hours for the rest of the year. If an office hour is cancelled or if the times change (due to changes in our schedules), we will communicate it with you through WhatsApp.

Who will be present? All four members try to be present at as many office hours as we can. We always want a minimum of one board member to be present during office hours, but we try to be with as many of us as possible. 

Where are these office hours? In our office in the USVA building in Munnekeholm 10. You can find our office when you enter the building and walk straight through the door and through the canteen until you get to the stairs at the end of the hallway. Then you go down the stairs and you immediately go right. Then you walk straight and when you enter a dark hallway and see a door on your right, that’s our office. We have a little video in which we explain the way to our office on our Instagram highlights and if you really get lost you can just go to the reception of the USVA building and ask for Flanor’s office or text/call one of the board members to pick you up.
